Salmon Burgers with Lemon-Dill Sour Cream
This recipe will make 4 burgers. Adjust accordingly to make more or less.
Ingredients
Salmon Burgers- 16 oz. salmon fillet
- 1/2 onion
- 1 or 2 cloves garlic
- Fresh dill
- Breadcrumbs
- Salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh dill
- 4-5 heaping tablespoons sour cream
- Salt and Pepper
Preparation
- Dice up the onion and garlic.
- Finely chop the dill, setting some aside for the sour cream mixture.
- Pulse the salmon in a food processor until it's chopped.
Do not over-chop it so that it becomes a paste.
- In a bowl, mix the chopped salmon, onion, and garlic.
- Mix in chopped dill. (This is sort of a "to taste" kind of thing. It's a good idea to give the mixture a taste to see if you have good proportions of all the ingredients)
- Add a pinch of salt and mix once more.
- Once taste is right, add just enough bread crumbs to allow the mixture to hold together when formed into patties.
- Form into patties, and grill.
- In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, lemon juice, chopped dill set aside earlier, salt and pepper and stir well.
- Taste, and adjust accordingly, if necessary.
- Put grilled burgers on rolls, top with lemon-dill sour cream, and enjoy.
